When you first sign up to create your FreshBooks account, you’ll be asked to verify your email before completing the rest of your setup. This ensures that the email you’ve registered is an email you have access to, for important notifications from your FreshBooks account.
To complete your verification, follow these steps:
- After signing up for a new account at my.freshbooks.com, look for an email from FreshBooks with the subject line of Verify Your Email in your email address’ inbox
- In the email, you can either:
- Copy the four-lettered digits from the verification email, enter this in the page you started creating your account in, and then select the Verify account button
- Select the Verify Your Email button, this will open a new webpage to complete the verification
- Copy the four-lettered digits from the verification email, enter this in the page you started creating your account in, and then select the Verify account button
- Once verified, you can complete the rest of your setup and get started with your new FreshBooks account.
Note: The Verification Code expires after 24 hours. Select Resend Email Verification to get a new code if it's been longer than 24 hours.

If you haven't already, try reviewing these options to get the verification email:
- Check if the email was redirected to your junk or spam folder
- Log into your account at my.freshbooks.com and confirm that the email address matches with no typos or spelling errors
- Add the above email addresses to your safe senders list and try resending again by logging into your account at my.freshbooks.com and select resend email verification to send a new email

I already verified my account but I keep getting told to verify it again, what do I do?
Try opening my.freshbooks.com in a private window or in a different browser. If you're able to log in successfully, you'll want to clear your original browser's cookies and cache before logging in again.
